Your work of art can be transformed into a painting from most any camera photo or image regardless of the background. In addition, you may also be able to use a digital file you had someone else photograph as long as we have permission. Send me a photo, or we can schedule a sitting.
A Modern Approach to Timeless Art
Unlike traditional artists who start from a blank canvas, my process begins with your photograph, reimagined and elevated through a blend of modern and traditional artistry.
Each painting commission begins with one or more reference photographs and is transformed into a work of art by blending photography and painting together through the use of digital painting software as the chosen medium.
This mixed-media approach combines a variety of tools — from modern electronic brushes to traditional oils and glazes on canvas. The collaboration takes place over a series of progress meetings, ensuring that every stage of the artwork aligns with your vision and feels true to the person you love. During this design phase, composition, lighting, and mood are refined until everything feels right.
Once approved, the artwork is printed on fine art canvas and finished by hand with oils and glazes, adding warmth, depth, and texture. The result is a portrait that looks unmistakably like the person you love — yet feels even more alive, and rivals the look and feel of an original oil painting.
